 Part-Time/Seasonal Position

Spring Season:  Saturdays & Sundays May 2 to June 7
Fall Season:  Saturdays & Sundays September-November (specific dates TBD)

Expected Hours:  10am to 12pm each day

Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hour

Are you a "Big Kid" at heart with a passion for sports?

We are seeking a high-energy, patient, and reliable Youth Sports Instructor & Coordinator to lead our toddler and preschool sports programs. In this role, you aren’t just a coach; you are a superhero, a role model, and the highlight of a child's week.

You will be responsible for introducing children ages 2.5 to 4.5 to the fundamentals of flag football in a non-competitive, fun, and imagination-based environment.

The Role

As the Instructor & Coordinator, you will manage the field, lead large groups of children through drills, and ensure the curriculum is executed smoothly.

  • Lead with Energy: specific high-energy classes for groups of 10–15 toddlers (ages 2.5–3) and preschoolers (ages 3–4.5) or lead larger groups with assistant instructors.
  • Crowd Control: Masterfully manage large groups of young children, keeping them engaged, listening, and safe using proven classroom management techniques.
  • Teach Fundamentals: Break down basic flag football skills (flag pulling, catching, running) into simple, age-appropriate steps using imaginative games.
  • Coordinate Logistics: Set up and break down equipment before and after classes. Ensure all gear is safe and accounted for.
  • Parent Communication: Serve as the face of the program on the field. Greet parents, answer questions, and build rapport with families.

 What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for a professional tactical coach; we are looking for an engaging educator who knows sports.

Experience with Large Groups (Required): You must have prior experience managing groups of 10+ children in a camp, classroom, daycare, or coaching setting. You know how to command attention without being "scary."

  • Age Group Expertise: You understand the developmental milestones of 2 to 4-year-olds. You know that attention spans are short and that patience is key.
  • Sports Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of basic rules and mechanics for Flag Football.
  • Vocal Projection: You have a "coaching voice"—loud, clear, and enthusiastic enough to be heard over the excitement of a large group.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Kinesiology, or Recreation Management.
  • Experience with specific "mommy-and-me" or parent-participation classes.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

 Why Join Us?

  • Impact: You will be the person who teaches a child to score their very first touchdown.
  • Culture: Fun, active work environment where high-fives are currency.
  • Growth: Opportunity to move into curriculum design and expansion to new areas.

 How to Apply
