rosters & requests faqs

ROSTERS

Q: How many players are on a team?
A: Most teams have 7-10 players.  However, we do reserve the right to stretch these guidelines if the league deems necessary.

Q: How are rosters created?
A:   Click HERE to learn about our "Magic Method"

Q: When will I hear about my child's team placement?
A:   You will receive a welcome email from your child's coach with your team number and practice time for week 1.    If you have not heard the Friday prior to week 1, please email us.

Q: What if my child and their classmates do not have enough players to form a team?
A: No worries! We will always try to keep classmates together, but if needed we will combine players from other schools to form your team for the season.  If there are more than enough players from any given school and grade, we will form additional teams as necessary. Everyone who wants to play is welcome.  We will not turn any players away prior the deadline.

Q: Can I register players a full team of players?

A: We do not have a single checkout option for full-team registrations; each player must register and pay individually.

However, you can still request to play together:

  • Players: You can include your coach's name during your individual registration.

  • Coaches: Coaches may submit player requests on the coach intake form.

Please note that all full-team roster requests are subject to league approval. Our goal is to ensure inclusivity and make sure no players who requested the team are inadvertently left behind. As long as requests align, you shouldn't have any issues.

Q: How many teams can one school have?
A: As many teams that can be formed from each school according to grade/age division will be accepted. Everyone who wants to play is welcome!

TEAM, COACH & BUDDY REQUEST

Q: How do I request my child play with a specific teammate?
A:  This is a league designed to keep schoolmates and friends playing together.  Please be sure to enter your child’s teammate request during registration.  This is VERY important to us and we go out of our way to make all players feel included, but it is not guaranteed.

Q: How do I request my child play with a specific coach?
A:  When registering, there is a spot to enter in a specific coach.  We do our best to accomodate these requests, however, they are not guaranteed.

Q: Can I request to not be on a specific team/coach?
A: Yes.  We want to make sure your child is comfortable and excels.  When filling out the Google Form, please be sure to enter in the "coach request" section, but inidicate you do not want to be on this team.  NOTE:  We will gaurantee your child will NOT be this team, but it will orverride other requests.

Q: Why can’t I request a teammate for Little Snappers and Bitty Blitzers?
A: Teams are not formed for the younger children; we created a clinic the help them learn the fundamentals.  Therefore, you do not need to request a teammate.

Q: What if I forgot to add my buddy or coach request when registering?
A: Click HERE to complete the change request form.

Q: My child wants to play with their sibling in a higher division, is that allowed?
A:  In certain instances, yes, it is allowed:

OPEN SPACE:  There must be open spaces on the team.
ONE GRADE:  Your child can only move within one grade.  NOTE:  Your child may be playing with players two grades older.
COACH APPROVAL:  The coach must be ok with having a younger child on their team.

When filling out your registristration form,  in the player request section, enter:  PLAYING UP and add sibling (or friend's) first and last name.
